When the iX3M / iX3M2 / iDive is outside of the water its radio power is automatically reduced to save battery and to avoid interferences coming form other radio sources.
When iX3M / iX3M2 / iDive detects that the dive has stared it automatically increases the radio power. So if you are not diving you need to place the transmitters very close to the iX3M / iX3M2 / iDive to get the signal.
Our dive computers work only with Ratio Computer Wireless Transmitters.
Wireless Transmitters from other brands are incompatible with our dive computers.
All iX3M 2 dive computer are compatible with the Color Coded Wireless Transmitter.
All iDive COLOR dive computer are compatible with the Color Coded Wireless Transmitter.
In case you have iDive Sport / iDive Avantgarde or the first generation of iX3M, check this link for the compatibility check:
https://www.ratio-computers.com/support/support4/cc_compatibility.htm
You need to connect the Wireless Transmitter to the Ratio ToolBox.

The iX3M / iX3M2 / iDive Color with paired transmitter during the dive, shows the current pressure in the tank (the "BAR" value) and the remaining bottom time ("RBT" value). Those are the main data that iX3M / iX3M2 / iDive Color shows.
You can set the reserve value ("RES") alarm. It means that the BAR data will become red if the BAR is below the reserve value or yellow in case the BAR value in below (reserve x2) value.
At page 25 of the Wireless Transmitter manual is available a picture that explain that function:
https://www.ratio-computers.com/support/support4/manual/EN_User_Manual_CC_Transmitter_2.1.pdf
As default it is a visual alarm only (not sound or vibration), but you can set the Reserve alarm ON in the ALERM SET menu (it means that the iX3M / iX3M2 / iDive Color will vibrate and make a sound when the BAR value goes below RES value).
Always remember that the wireless transmitter does not replace the pressure gauge.
Yes, is possible to deactivate the LED on the transmitter using the Ratio ToolBox.
Just connect the Wireless Transmitter to the Ratio TooBox and select the proprer option on the tab.

The GAIN setting allows for fine-tuning the dive computer's data reception frequency from the transmitter.
The principle is the same as the fine-tuning used in FM communication radios.
In the first gen of the iX3M the gain has to be set manually (also during the dive) following this tutorial:
https://www.ratio-computers.com/support/support4/how_to/video_ix3m_set_gain_underwater.htm
In the second gen of iX3M2, the dive computer automatically sets the Gain.
